Abstract
⺠Ferromagnetism is found in armchair aluminum silicide nanoribbons by first principles calculations. ⺠The emergence of magnetism in armchair nanoribbon after carrier doping is implied. ⺠Graphitic boron carbide is shown to have ferromagnetism with the same mechanism.
