Abstract
► Singlet oxygen is generated upon 1270 nm laser irradiation in organic solvents. ► The formation of 1O2 is monitored by chemical trapping with DPIBF and rubrene. ► The trap disappearance rate is derived from a simple analytical expression. ► Singlet oxygen production rate and reactivity with chemical traps is determined.
