Abstract
⺠The electronic structure of Fe on MgO(1 1 1) films with {1 0 0} facets was investigated. ⺠The chemical interaction at the interface of Fe and MgO films was rather weak. ⺠A upward band bending of MgO with 1.2 eV was observed.
