Abstract
⺠Methyl isobutyl ketone has C1 symmetry and a similar geometry to isopropyl acetate. ⺠The acetyl methyl group shows internal rotation. ⺠Rotorsional spectrum was fitted with the programs XIAM and Erham. ⺠The calculated structure was validated by microwave spectroscopy.
