Abstract
⺠How a dielectric coating affects metal/molecule energy transfer is investigated. ⺠Increasing the thickness increases the non-radiative decay rate and decreases the radiative rate. ⺠Tuning the excitation frequency can significantly improve the efficiency. ⺠Dielectric coatings effectively limit quenching without sacrificing efficiency.
