Abstract
⺠Perylenes having triple bond(s) were prepared. ⺠Fluorescence yields, lifetimes and triplet absorption were determined. ⺠An increase of the number of triple bond decreased fluorescence yields. ⺠No variations in the fluorescence rates among the perylenes. ⺠Substitution of triple bond in the perylene moiety enhanced intersystem crossing.
