Abstract
⺠Hybridization of atomic orbitals governs cluster shapes. ⺠Doped alkali metal clusters adopt different shapes depending on the degree of AO-hybridization. ⺠Hybridization leading to covalent bonding opposes aromaticity is governing cluster structure.
