Abstract
⺠Substituent effects in C6H5Xâ¦M+ (M+ = Li+, Na+, K+, and NH4+) complexes are studied. ⺠Isotropic nuclear magnetic shielding constants (Ï) are proposed as a measure of substituent effects. ⺠The dependence of cation-Ï distance (R) on the Ï was studied using the Ï vs. R plots.
