Abstract
⺠Presence of lanthanide ions destabilizes structure of GaOOH during its synthesis. ⺠Local environment of Ga3+ ions is unaffected by the structural collapse. ⺠Structural collapse is caused by interaction of OH groups with lanthanide ions.
