Abstract
⺠Monodisperse 2 nm FePt3 (Fe34Pt66) nanoparticles were synthesized successfully by polyol process. ⺠Also FePt (Fe63Pt37) nanoparticles were synthesized by modifying mole ratio of initial precursor. ⺠By adding magnetic shell around FePt3 we could reduce the degree of agglomeration during annealing. ⺠Effects of shell thickness on the magnetic properties of FePt3 nanoparticles have been studied. ⺠After annealing, Fe34Pt66 nanoparticles reached to coercivity as 850 Oe.
