Abstract
⺠Model liquid-liquid interfaces in thermal gradients exhibit Marangoni-type convection at the molecular level. ⺠The local partial density distributions due to the thermal gradient vary as a function of the distance from the interface. ⺠The formal Soret coefficients vary as a function of the distance from the interface. ⺠Beyond 15 particle diameters from the interface the densities and Soret coefficients are as in the bulk.
