Abstract
⺠Carbon dioxide effect on the solvation dynamics was studied in two room temperature ionic liquids. ⺠The slower response of solvation dynamics became much faster by dissolving carbon dioxide. ⺠The effect of carbon dioxide was found to be similar to that on the translational diffusion of the solute.
