Abstract
⺠'Topological' ring-currents confirm that [N]-circulenes violate the 'AWA' model. ⺠These considerations are extended to three structures formally related to kekulene. ⺠One, anti-kekulene, has paramagnetic currents flowing around in its [4n]-periphery. ⺠Anti-kekulene's [4n] central-ring bears both paramagnetic and diamagnetic currents. ⺠Anti-kekulene thus does not conform to the provisions of the 'AWA' model.
