Abstract
⺠First report of the bulk deposition of a metal onto nanoparticles during collisions. ⺠Multilayers of Cd atoms are electroplated onto AgNPs from Cd2+(aq) during impacts. ⺠An average of 19 atomic layers of cadmium are found to be deposited. ⺠Results presented for the underpotential deposition of Cd onto AgNPs during impacts.
