Abstract
âºSimple models explain the trends seen across families of organometallic complexes. ⺠Metal cores suggest electronic correlations may be important in these complexes. ⺠CIS approximation (no correlations) accurate for the low energy states. ⺠Hence CIS accurately predicts physical and chemical properties. ⺠This implies that strong correlations do not play an important role in these complexes.
