Abstract
►Excitation profile of quantum dot induced by time-varying impurity domain has been investigated. ► The impurity domain slowly increases with time. ► The quantum dot is doped with a repulsive Gaussian impurity. ► The investigation reveals maximization in the excitation rate. ► Maximization depends on initial spread of dopant regime. ► The findings could have important engineering applications.
