Abstract
⺠Graphene quenches the fluorescence of aromatic molecules efficiently. ⺠Photo-induced electron transfer from the aromatics to graphene is observed. ⺠The charge separated species are long-lived. ⺠This feature could be of value in the design of photovoltaics.
