Abstract
⺠The optical constants of cadmium sulfide thin films for different bath temperature were determined. ⺠The crystallite size and microstrain was calculated using Williamson-Hall method. ⺠The optical band gap values of the films varied from 2.2 to 2.6 eV depending on the bath temperatures. ⺠The microstrain decreases with increasing film thickness. ⺠The conductivity and the crystallite size increases up to 70 degrees and then starts decreasing when temperature is still increased due to the change in phase from hexagonal to cubic.
