Abstract
⺠We report the first study of Li+â¯methane clusters. ⺠The first IRPD spectroscopy of second shell CH4 in ionâ¯methane clusters is reported. ⺠We conclude that Li+ does have a small electrostatic effect beyond the first shell. ⺠In large clusters, no methaneâ¯methane interactions are observed.
