Abstract
⺠We summarize the reported important research work about the synthesis of magnetic mesoporous materials. ⺠We analyze and group the synthesis approaches into three categories, i.e. sol-gel coating, post loading and nanocasting. ⺠We systematically elucidate the design principles and synthesis strategies for magnetic mesoporous materials.
