Abstract
⺠A facile microwave-assisted route is established to prepare doped ZnSe quantum dots. ⺠The obtained quantum dots show bright luminescence due to the surface passivation. ⺠Compared with CdSe QDs, the prepared quantum dots show much lower cytotoxicity.
