Abstract
âºReference data are provided for various RPA methods. ⺠Spin-flipped excitations contribute to the ring-coupled-cluster approach. ⺠RPA (HF) suffers from instabilities. ⺠Direct RPA, possibly with 2nd order screened exchange, most promising.
