Abstract
► Novel system based on poly(glutamic) acid/cysteine/Au nanoparticles was designed. ► This nanostructural system had excellent electrochemical behavior. ► Poly(glutamic) acid/cysteine/Au nanoparticles was used to study atenolol oxidation. ► Allows detection of atenolol oxidation peak with a limit of 3.9 × 10−7 M. ► Excellent model for possible bio-chemical molecular detection.
