Abstract
⺠TD-DFT is used to investigate the properties of diarylethene dimers. ⺠Very good agreement with experiment is reached for absorption. ⺠Orbital analysis helps understanding the observed photochromism. ⺠The fluorescence wavelength of a key compound is computed.
