Abstract
⺠A new type of minimal bromate oscillator was developed in this research. ⺠The new system exhibited spontaneous oscillations in a closed system. ⺠The number of oscillations is found to increase with substrate concentration. ⺠Spectroscopy measurements confirmed the bromination of benzoquinone. ⺠Quenching experiments suggest that the new oscillator is bromide-controlled.
