Abstract
⺠This Letter describes experimental and theoretical studies of the solvation dynamics of a dissolved dipolar probe in supercooled (acetamide + calcium nitrate hydrate) mixtures. ⺠An important outcome of this study is refutation of previous claims in the literature for a colossal dielectric constant of such mixtures. ⺠Semi-molecular hydrodynamic theory suggests presence of sub-picosecond solvation component in these mixtures.
