Abstract
► The correlated derivative propagation method provides a new trajectory approach to the time evolution of quantum mechanical wave packets. ► The exact equations of motion derived in the derivative propagation method are solved by propagating correlated quantum trajectories without truncation of higher derivatives of hydrodynamic fields. ► Excellent results are obtained for barrier transmission problems by evolving a small number of trajectories.
