Abstract
⺠In the large-dimension limit, the high-density correlation energy of two opposite-spin electrons is independent of the radial external potential that confines them. ⺠This result explains the similarity of many two-electron systems in three dimensions. ⺠We study various two-electron systems: helium, spherium, hookium and ballium.
