Abstract
⺠Triplet nanotubes may exhibit zero-field splitting due to spin-spin coupling. ⺠For common cylindrical nanotubes triplet states split into two levels only. ⺠Triplet degeneracy is fully resolved for Jahn-Teller distorted or for helical tubes.
