Abstract
⺠The bromine substituted imidazolium-based ionic liquid was investigated by DFT. ⺠The hydrogen bondings are formed between H2 atoms of cations and Brâ. ⺠The halogen bondings are formed between imidazolium ring substituted bromine atoms and Brâ.
