Abstract
⺠In this article we found that nucleofugality in nucleophilic substitution reactions may be determined by the permanent group to a significant extent. This information is of relevant to discuss both, the stability of the intermediate in a stepwise pathway; and also on the reaction mechanism. Nucleofugality is represented here on a quantitative basis and the usefulness of the reported conclusions may be of importance for the experimental chemists.
