Abstract
⺠β-CD binds alkyl sulfonates forming 1:1 host-guest complexes. ⺠Uncomplexed β-CD is present in equilibrium with the micellar system. ⺠Decreasing the hydrophobicity of the surfactant increases the percentage of uncomplexed cyclodextrin.
