Abstract
This Letter demonstrates a real time shape evolution of intermediate structures during the one-pot synthesis of anisotropically shaped gold nanoparticles. Our experimental data provides unique and convincing information for understanding the growth mechanisms of how the shape control works for gold anisotropic nanocrystals.
