Abstract
⺠A simple, aqueous-phase route to the synthesis of Pd-Rh bimetallic nanodendrites consisting of Rh branches anchored to a Pd nanocrystal core is described. ⺠Our study revealed that Rh branches grew by particle attachment rather than simple growth via atomic addition. ⺠Growth of Rh branches was essentially independent of the facets expressed on the surface of the Pd nanocrystals used as the seeds.
