Abstract
Silicon doping of spray-deposited Fe2O3 results in the formation of the β-Fe2O3 phase; the presence of a SnO2 interfacial layer suppresses this and favours the growth of α-Fe2O3 with a slightly preferred (1 1 0) orientation.
