Abstract
We demonstrate the tuning of the surface plasmon resonance (SPR) band of elliptical Au0 nanoparticles (587-611Â nm) by controlling the refractive index (1.8349-2.0006) of the encapsulating host matrix in a new series of nano-Au0-antimony glass (K2O-B2O3-Sb2O3) dichroic composites which are synthesized by a new single-step methodology without using any external reducing agent or additional processing step.
