Abstract
Perovskite SrZrO3, SrTiO3, and multilayered SrZrO3/SrTiO3 thin films based materials are composed by two coordination types; the dodecahedral SrO12 and both octahedral TiO6/ZrO6 clusters. Changes on ideal coordination clusters as well as the links among them, takes the electronic charge redistribution of the lattice and hence the formations of localized levels within the band gap. These facts are the necessary conditions for a wide photoluminescence profile.
