Abstract
A metal-organic framework of Cu(I), {[Cu(bphz)2] · 2BF4}n (1) (bphz = 1,2-bis(4-pyridylmethylene)hydrazine) has been synthesized and structure determination reveals sixfold interpenetrated 3D diamondoid network contains 1D channels filled with the BF4- anions. The BF4- anions can be selectively and reversibly exchanged with the NO3- anions, but not with the ClO4- and PF6- anions, suggesting highly size and shape selective anion exchange property.
