Abstract
An unusual fluorescence evolution of CdSe, i.e., blue-shift followed by red-shift, was observed in a CdO/TOP/TOPSe heterogeneous system, which is preliminarily attributed to the gradual removal of the surface-related defects or traps when the particle size increases slowly.
