Abstract
From the vibrational circular dichroism (VCD) spectra recorded on a benzene-d6 gel sample of R- or S-12-hydroxyoctadecanoic acid (R- or S-12-HOA, respectively), it was concluded that 12-HOA molecules formed a curved dimer with no hopping of carboxylic protons allowed in a gel.
