Molecular dynamics evidences of the full graphitization of a nanodiamond annealed at 1500Â K

Carbon onion obtained from a 4 ns molecular dynamics annealing of a 3 nm nanodiamond cluster at 1500 K. Carbon-carbon bonds are indicated with blue sticks; Atoms belonging to the remaining diamond-like clusters are displayed with coloured spheres.
