Abstract
We performed continuous-wave two-photon fluorescence excitation spectroscopy on a ladder-type poly(para-phenylene) at room temperature and found that the symmetry selection rules for one- and two-photon transitions are exceptionally well fulfilled in this rigid conjugated polymer.
