Abstract
In the Fe4-CH4 GS two weak CH-Fe bonds are formed. For the higher energy states, additionally to CH-Fe, a Fe-C bonding appears. CH4 adsorption shows magnetic selectivity. Fe4 with 3 MB, fix up to three methane's, but not more. Fully adsorption was achieved for the ion, [Fe4-(CH4)4]+.
