Abstract
Electron attachment to propionyl chloride predominantly leads to Clâ formation through resonances close to 0 and 0.7Â eV, but also the molecular ion and the fragments (M-CH2)â, COClâ and (M-Cl)â are observed. The first resonance is characterized as a ÏCOâ SOMO, the second as a ÏC-Clâ SOMO.
