Abstract
Dissociative photodetachment (PD) of weakly bound anionic molecular complexes supplies a value of its stabilisation energy D0. This is supported by anion photoelectron (PES) and IR dissociation spectroscopy. They deliver information about vibrational states and their excitation in the initial anionic complex. This has been applied to the chloride-benzene complex.
