Abstract
Electron impact ionization of toluene is studied using mass spectrometry. Cross-sections for the formation of the two molecular ions C7H8+ and ionic fragments are measured between 10 and 78Â eV. Measured total cross-section agrees well with the cross-section given by the theoretical BEB model above 20Â eV.
