Abstract
Magnetic field (0.23 T) was applied to the dispersion of vapor-grown carbon fibers, having averaged diameter of 150 nm with averaged length of 3.9 μm, in polydimethylsiloxane (0.097 Pa s) during in situ optical microscope observation with high magnification. The alignment rate was determined by measuring rotational angles as a function of time.
