Abstract
The propane molecule interacts with the magnetic Fe4 cluster (2SÂ =Â 14) throughout the formation of two C-H-Fe contacts, which are non-conventional hydrogen bonds, bearing some resemblances of a classical agostic bond. Fe4 is able to activate the C-H bonds of this saturated hydrocarbon.
