Abstract
Despite having been the subject of numerous experimental and theoretical efforts, the structure of the Xâ¼1A1 ground electronic state of acetylacetone still remains a matter of controversy. High-level quantum chemical methods have been enlisted to explore this issue, resulting in a global minimum-energy configuration of Cs symmetry.
