Abstract
The transient structure of the ferrioxalate redox reaction intermediates have been measured by means of time resolved EXAFS and confirmed by DFT and H-F calculations. These data coupled with ultrafast optical studies suggest that the reaction mechanism involves dissociation before electron transfer occurs.
